As you can tell, 2015 was a very decent year. The one thing I think though that had the most impact on me this year was I discovered my voice within the space of education. Honestly based on previous years of experience, I kind of learned to keep my thoughts to myself. At times that is important, but so is speaking up for what you value. This year, I learned that I have a voice and it does matter. Moreover, there are people who have some of the same values and thoughts as I do. Using that voice helped me also notice how using it can empower someone else to recognize they have one as well.
My goal was not to over dwell this evening; yet, simply, to state some of the highlights of this past year. There are a few more that will be shared over the next coming weeks. Mostly, I want educators and students to recognize they have voice and that voice matters!
